Toshiba has managed to cram 128GB in a 1.8” enclosure space. The SSD reads at 100MB per second and writes at 40MB per second. Toshiba uses 56nm process to make these drives that helps in increasing power efficiency and read/write speeds. Toshiba is using the 16GB flash chips in the drive, which are their highest density chips. Toshiba uses 8 flash chips in the SSD, just imagine what can be achieved by using the new 32GB chips produced by Samsung, 256Gb in the same enclosure.
