Dell Plans To Introduce Inspiron Mini 9 with 32GB SSD in Japan

The Impress is reporting that Dell will add two color and “Platinum Package” options to its Inspiron Mini 9 lineup in Japan. Along with Black and White options Mini 9 will be available in red and pink lids options starting November 18th. Dell will also introduce Platinum Package that will feature a 32GB SSD in place of 4GB flash storage on standard model.
The Platinum Package will also include Windows XP, 1.6GHz N270 Intel Atom processor, 1GB DDR2 RAM and 1.3-megapixel webcam. Previously, Microsoft only allow computer to have Vista as the default OS, if they had more than 16GB hard drive. But they have changed that requirement and have allowed Windows XP on computer that have up to 32GB hard drive. As a result we have Dell Inspiron Mini 9 Platinum Package with 32GB SSD.
The new red and pink color options will be priced same as black and white option and they will be 20,000 Yen cheaper than Mini 9 Platinum Package, which will be priced 54,980 Yen ($570).
