Microsoft sent out invites for a press conference with Steve Ballmer, CEO Microsoft and Ralph de la Vega, CEO AT&T on October 11th in New York City. The event will start at 9:00 AM and will include remarks from Steve and Ralph, a demonstration of the new Windows Phone 7 capabilities and a preview of several apps, as well as hands on time with the new phones after the announcements.

Along with AT&T, T-Mobile will also be launch partner of Windows Phone 7 and a London event for European launch will also be held on the same day. Phones from HTC, LG and Samsung will be shown at the launch event.

It is also rumored that Microsoft will showcase a Windows 7 based tablet at the Microsoft Open House press event immediately after Windows Phone 7 press conference, were various consumer offering from the company will be shown. We believe it’s highly unlikely that Microsoft would share Windows Phone 7 limelight with any other product. But the growing iPad success has made the company desperate and Microsoft has done much weirder things.

We will be keeping tabs on all Microsoft announcement on October 11, join us then for more Windows Phone 7 details.
