In a phone interview with iPod Observer, Gartner’s analyst Ken Dulaney said he believes Apple has ordered a second round of 10 million more iPhone units. This is in addition to ten million first generation iPhones that Apple has already ordered for 2008. Ken’s analysis is based on the rumors he has heard in Asian circles. Ken also thinks that the 3G iPhone will use OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) based displays, resulting in a thinner and more power efficient phone. It is a know fact that Apple is working on a 3G iPhone, the thing we don’t know is when will Apple release the 3G phone.
