According to Seth Weintraub, Apple’s upcoming MacBooks models will be thinner than current Macbook and the MacBook Pro will have slightly more rounded design like the MacBook Air. The biggest change will be that the new MacBooks will use “glass trackpad” that will support multi-touch and gesture controls. The body of the MacBooks will be made out of one piece of aluminum make it more sturdy and eco-friendly. He adds that the new laptops lineup will be released in September.
We know that Apple will very soon update both MacBook and MacBook Pro models. But we don’t know what design changes Apple will do; it is very likely that all of the above information might come true. Intel’s next generation P-series Core 2 Duo processors have 25 watts TDP that would allow thinner notebook design. Apple is moving fast in multi-touch and gesture control direction and it is logical that they would implement the technology in their upcoming portable products. It has been rumored for quite sometime that Apple will move away from it present plastic casing to a more eco-friendly aluminum casing. And the September launch, before holiday season starts will be ideal for Apple.
