Business Users Still Not Going for Windows VistaSubmitted by lalit on July 24, 2008 - 2:16pm.
According to a study done by Forrester Research Vista usage among businesses is up by more than 40 percent, but less than 10 percent of 50,000 companies surveyed used Vista. Forrester says 87.1 percent of the companies continued to use Windows XP and most of the Vista installed are replacing older version of Windows other than XP. In another study of IT department’s analysts found that more than 60% of the companies were planning to stick with XP in 2009 also. Around 40% are not even considering switching to Vista. Microsoft Senior Vice President Bill Veghte told CNET that Vista adoption is actually on par with past releases pointing to some new customers, such as the U.S. Air Force. Right now it looks like Vista is facing lot of difficulties in getting acceptance in business community. It a good thing Microsoft has started their $300 million Ad campaign to improve Vista’s image. |
