Apple iPhone 3G Sold Out in All But Three Apple Stores

Apple started selling the iPhone 3G on July 11th and it has been selling like hot cakes since. Apple announced on July 14th that it sold more than one million iPhones in first three days. Long lines have continued to form throughout the last week in front of the stores that had iPhone 3G in stock. AT&T the official iPhone carrier in US had said last week that iPhone 3G was sold out at all their stores.  The iPhone shortage will continue this week also. In fact, it will be bad compared to last week. Last Monday around 70% of Apple stores had iPhone in stock, but today only 3 Apple stores have iPhone and each store has just one model only. The store at Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton, California has 16GB black model, the store at Briarwood in Ann Arbor, Michigan has 16GB white and the store at Rockingham Park in Salem, New Hampshire has 16GB white. If you were planning to buy a 8GB iPhone today you are out of luck any where in US. Apple is saying that they are replenishing iPhone 3G stocks almost daily and AT&T says that they will have more iPhone in store this week. As of now, it looks like lines will continue to form in front of Apple stores to grab the new iPhone, as it is very likely that supplies won’t meet demand this week also.
