RIM to Hold its first Developer Conference; The Company is Working on Full-face Touchscreen PhoneSubmitted by lalit on May 14, 2008 - 12:10am.
RIM will hold its first developer conference in Santa Clara, California. The two and a half days conference is scheduled for the week of 20th October. Though RIM has not posted any agenda for the conference, it appears that mobile software development will be at the forefront of the conference. According to BGR, RIM is also working on a touchscreen BlackBerry device codenamed BlackBerry Thunder that they will launch in Q3 2008. The phone will have a full-face touchscreen, no slide out keyboard and just 4 physical keys. The four keys on the phone are talk, end talk, menu and back. The phone will be launch with Vodafone and Verizon with CDMA EV-DO and GSM HSPA. No other information is available about the device but I think we will come to know more about the device at RIM developer conference on October 20th.
