Canadian Wireless Carrier Rogers Wireless announced today that they would bring iPhone to Canada later this year. “We’re thrilled to announce that we have a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year,” the carrier said in a statement. “We can’t tell you any more about it right now but stay tuned.” Since the launch of iPhone last year Rogers has constantly show interest in launching the phone in Canada. Last year Rogers Chief operating officer Nadir Mohamed said, “I’m not saying whether we have agreements or anything, but given the iPhone was launched on GSM, we’re in good position to reinforce that we’re the first and have the best feature devices.” Last week Toronto Star claimed that Rogers will launch the iPhone by July and right now it looks like they will indeed start selling iPhone in July when the new 3G iPhone is launched.
