Intel Announces Core 2 Extreme X7900 Mobile CPU

Intel today announced the Core 2 Extreme X7900 processor based on 65-nanometer technology. The X7900 has 800 MHz front side bus and runs at 2.8GHz. TDP rating of the processor is 44W and its possible to overclock the processor up to 3.2 GHz. This is the same processor Apple has been using in the new iMacs, which were released on 7th of August. The release date for other PC manufacturers is yet know known.
