T-Mobile has started shipping the new G1 smartphone based on Google Android operating system. The G1 is manufactured by HTC and T-Mobile is the exclusive carrier of the phone in US. Specifications of the new phone are 3.2-inch 320 x 480 touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel camera, QWERTY keypad, 3G, quad band GSM/EDGE, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth. Software-wise it is completely integrated with Google services over the air, which can be good and bad at the same time, as there is no desktop sync software for the phone.
T-Mobile has launched the G1 phone in an effort to stop the iPhone 3G tsunami and hence everyone will compare the phone to king of all smartphones. Almost all the reviewers of the new handset agree that the G1 is no iPhone, but the Android operating system has promises. T-Mobile G1 is the first smartphone that comes closes to Apple’s iPhone. The software is really robust, but it’s the brick like hardware that lets it down.  Below are the links to the ten most comprehensive reviews for the G1. If you are interested in buying the G1, we are sure these reviews will help you decide. The T-Mobile G1 is available for $179 with a two-year contract via T-Mobile USA. UK will get the phone later this year.
