AMD’s Radeon HD 5970 is the current champion in graphics card market, however, it looks like next generation NVIDIA GeForce GTX 300 GPUs will bring back the crown to NVIDA. Guru3D has posted leaked slides with results of internal benchmark tests done by NVIDIA on upcoming GTX 380 and GTX 360 graphics cards, along with AMD Radeon HD 5970 and HD 5870 cards.

The internal tests were done with Far Cry 2, Resident Evil 5 and Stalker Clear Sky, and if the results are accurate a single GPU GTX 380 card will out perform AMD’s top of the line dual-GPU Radeon HD 5970. In fact, the mid-range GTX 360 card would perform head-to-head with HD 5970 in many games.

NVIDIA plans to launch the GTX 300 series GPUs in Q1 2010 and we might see a demo at CES 2010 in January.
