BGR has posted:

“We’re really going out on a limb here, but one of our very connected sources let us know that they’ve heard very solid information about Apple’s upcoming tablet. It has been widely reported recently that the size of the tablet is 10-inch, but there was also talk about a 7-inch model. Our connect said there is 100% a 7-inch Apple tablet, to be announced in January, and whether this is in addition to a 10-inch model, they don’t know. Would we bet the farm on this? No, but they’ve been amazingly accurate for us in the past and as usual, Apple rumors seem to get more interesting…”

As we wrote earlier today, our sources say that Apple has already started test production of 10-inch tablet model. When we asked our sources about the 7-inch model they had no idea if Apple plans to launch a smaller 7-inch model. However, they added that Apple has been working on various screen sizes, and they won’t be surprised if Apple introduces tablet in two different screen sizes.

Update: Also, Silicon Alley Insider is reporting that Apple is asking some developers to prepare their apps for a demo on higher resolution screen next month. Apple has told developers that as long as they build their apps to support full screen resolution – rather than fixed 320 x 480 – their apps should run just fine. According to the website, Apple will just demo the device in January and it would ship in March. This is presumably so Apple can give other app makers time to prepare their apps for larger screen devices.
