Etymotic the company known for their high quality in-ear headphones has officially launched the new hf5 in-ear headphones. Etymotic hf5 are the successor to company’s highly successful ER-6i earbuds and are the fifth generation of pure listening devices. The new earphones are smaller and have full metal body, which makes them more comfortable and sturdy. Etymotic claims that audio fidelity has been improved, even though frequency range has dropped slightly to 20Hz – 15Hz range. Etymotic also claims that noise isolation has been improved and sounds as loud as 42dB are muffled. The new earphones will come with two pairs of three flange tips and a pair of more comfortable foam tips. The hf5 are available exclusively on Amazon in three colors black, blue and red for $149.
