We have seen the GSM version of Samsung Omnia i910 before, but Verizon today announced that it would release the CDMA version of the Omnia SCH-i910. This Windows Mobile 6.1 based touchscreen handset features Samsung’s TouchWiz interface that allows users to customize widgets on the home screen. It also has an optical mouse in place of D-pad, which should be convenient for navigation.
The Omnia i910 comes with a 3.2-inch touchscreen with haptic feedback, 5-megapixel camera with flash, 8GB internal memory, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi b/g (that’s surprise on Verizon) and microSD card slot. Software on the phone will include VZAppZone, Exchange email, multimedia player, VZ Navigator, IM client and full HTML browser.
The Verizon Omnia SCH-i910 will be available on Verizon online store starting from 26th November and it should be in stores from 8th December. Verizon has priced the handset at $249.99 with two-year contract and after $70 mail-in rebate.
