Linksys Announces Multimedia Enabled Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Routers

Consumer Business Group of Cisco – Linksys today announced wireless-N routers that are designed to help consumers create a media-enabled home. The new Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N routers are designed to increase speed and virtually eliminate dead spots. The company has introduced three new routers the Ultra RangePlus Broadband Router WRT160N, the Ultra RangePlus Gigabit Router WRT310N and the Ultra RangePlus Simultaneous Dual-N Band Wireless Router WRT610N.
"The Ultra RangePlus family of Wireless-N routers offers superior performance to 'connect' your family over the upcoming holiday season," says Greg Memo, vice president and general manager, Cisco Consumer Business Group. "Utilizing Wireless-N technology, Mom can send large-file photos of the family dinner to Grandpa, while Junior talks with his friends over the internet and Dad catches up on the latest football video highlights -- all with extended range and enhanced speed."
The first router Ultra RangePlus Broadband Router WRT160N is priced $79.00, it’s designed for connecting while travelling and is small in size. The second router Ultra RangePlus Gigabit Router WRT310N is priced $109.99, it has all the features present on WRT160N in addition to gigabit Ethernet ports for wired networking. The last router Ultra RangePlus Simultaneous Dual-N Band Wireless Router WRT160N is designed to utilize both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless spectrums simultaneously for HD video streaming, high quality music streaming and photo sharing over multiple computers.
