Gateway has launched FX6800-05 gaming PC with 2.93GHz Core i7-940 processor. The new PC is an update to FX6800 gaming lineup and it adds new ATI Radeon HD4870 X2 graphics card and 6GB of DDR3 1066MHz memory. The system features a dual drive setup with 1TB 7,200 RPM SATA –II hard drive and Intel 80GB SSD. It will ship standard with DVD burner but will have Blu-ray drive as an option. The ports present on the new system include eight USB 2.0, two eSATA, one FireWire, one gigabit Ethernet and DVI/HDMI. The FX6800-05 is available now for $2,999.99.
Gateway has also launched FX6800-01e a lower end gaming PC featuring 2.66Ghz Core i7-920 processor, 3GB DDR3 RAM, 512MB ATI Radeon HD 4850, 750GB hard drive, DVD burner and same number of ports as FX6800-05.  The Gateway FX6800-01e is available now for $1,249.99.
