Gizmodo has posted detailed information revealing user interface of upcoming Microsoft Courier. The basic finger gestures are almost same as the once used to control the iPhone interface, but things get interesting with the concept of Infinite Journal. The journal is an endless notebook for writing, drawing, storing scrapbook like content and sharing notes with other people.

You can use the Courier pen for writing and drawing. It has two buttons, an eraser and a twisting mechanism to switch to different drawing modes. The Courier offers various drawing and sketching tools, along with note taking ability. One of the most interesting interface elements of the Courier is Clip, Tuck and Paste. On Courier you will be able to clip any content, which can then be tucked into the spine or pasted on one of the pages of the journal.

The Courier will also have a feature called Smart Agenda that will make it easier to manage block of appointments, emails, to do lists, weather and messages from friends. The browser on the Courier will have a Cover Flow like design that will allow you to flip through your web history and clip content like photos, that you want to add to your journal.

A user will be able to manage, organize and catalog everything on the Courier in the “Library”, which is similar to the file browser on a computer. The Library button on the Courier will take you to the Library page, which shelves your apps, journal and subscriptions.

Gizmodo has posted detailed pictures and information about various features on their website. It is a very interesting read.
