Verizon is planning to open Verizon Wireless stores at 6AM on November 6th for Motorola DROID launch. BGR got this information from one of their reliable connects. It looks like Verizon is hoping that DROID will also see the same kind of crowd response that iPhone has been receiving for past three launches.

For every iPhone launch people have stood in lines to get the new device on the launch day. And for iPhone 3G launch last year, the lines continued for few weeks till the demand was meet. Sprint, similarly hoped that Palm Pre will also generate iPhone like buzz when it was launched earlier this year, but their were hardly any lines on launch day. We hope Verizon has better luck for DROID launch.

Also, Best Buy has started taking pre-orders for Motorola DROID. Best Buy is offering the DROID for $199 (no mail-in rebate required). So, if you want to avoid lines and wait for rebate card, you can pre-order DROID just by going to your nearby Best Buy store between October 29 and November 6 and pre-order your DROID.
