Archos Launches Windows 7 Based Archos 9 PCtablet

With official launch of Windows 7, Archos also announced availability of the Archos 9 PCtablet that is based on Windows 7 and designed for entertainment. The tablet has 9-inch 1024 x 600 resolution touchscreen and is capable of playing HD video on external display. Archos says that Archos 9 provides PC users with an entirely new way to work, stay connected and enjoy the web and digital media on an ultra-thin and extremely fast full touchscreen tablet.

Archos 9 features Intel Atom Z515 processor, integrated Intel graphics, 60GB hard drive, 1.3-megapixel webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth and SD card slot. Ports present on the tablet include two USB, one VGA, audio in/out and Ethernet. Archos 9 PCtablet is 0.66-inch thick and weighs 1.7 pounds.

The Archos 9 60GB is available today for £449.99 ($745) in UK. Archos will start shipping the new tablet in other parts of the world in November.
