Toshiba has started shipping it new 12.1-inch ultraportable Protégé A605 laptop. The laptop is based on Centrino 2 platform featuring 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo SU9300 processor, 3GB of DDR3 RAM, integrated 4500MHD graphics, 250GB hard drive, DVD burner, WiFi a/b/g/n and webcam. The laptop has 3 USB ports, one of which doubles as eSATA port; all the USB ports are Sleep-and-charge ports. Battery life on the laptop 6.9 hours and the laptop is ENERGY STAR 4.0 compliant. The A605 is just 1.18-inch thick and it weighs only 3.3 pounds. Toshiba has priced the new Protégé A605 for $1,399.99.
