It will ship in mid-November.
The cameras build using Micro Four Thirds System is comparable in size to high-end compact size cameras, but they will have interchangeable lens and functions similar to digital SLR camera. The Lumix G1 will be available in black, blue and red color. It will come with a 12.1-megapixel sensor, live electronics viewfinder, 3-inch swiveling LCD, manual mode and Panasonic’s Intelligent Auto mode.
Along with the 14-45mm lens, Panasonic is also releasing a 45-200mm Lumix G Vario telephoto lens for the camera. Panasonic plans to launch more cameras based on Micro Four Thirds System next year.
