Verizon announced that its 4G LTE network would be available in 178 markets by November 17th. Verizon says it will add 22 new cities and expand the network in four cities on Oct. 20, and will turn on the 4G LTE network in 13 cities and expand in five cities on Nov. 17, making the largest 4G LTE network in the county even bigger.

“When we launched our 4G LTE network just 43 weeks ago, we had an ambitious growth plan because we understood the impact 4G LTE could have on people’s lives,” said David Small, chief technical officer of Verizon Wireless. “Americans in 178 cities from coast to coast will have access to the nation’s most reliable 4G network before Thanksgiving, allowing them to harness the speed and power of the network not only where they live but also where they travel.”

Verizon aims to have 4G LTE coverage in more than 75% percent of the US market by end of 2012 and complete coverage by end of 2013 making it the biggest and fastest deployed LTE network in the country. You can check the complete Verizon LTE coverage list here.
