Sony Introduces Near 4K Resolution 56-inch MonitorSubmitted by lalit on October 7, 2009 - 9:22am.
Sony is showcasing its new 56-inch TRIMASTER SRM-L560 monitor at CEATEC in Japan. The monitor is capable of near 4K resolution, 3840 x 2160 to be exact. It has LED backlight with RGB sensor and internal temperature sensor to detect and compensate for uneven brightness. Resulting in 176-degree viewing angle and 100 percent color accurate. Sony will include SRM Manager software with the monitor for adjustment of color temperature and gamma settings. Users can split the monitor in four segments of 1080p resolution to manage multiple workflows. Ports present on the monitors are DVI, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet and USB. Sony will also offer adapters for HD-SDI and SD-SDI ports commonly used in video editing. The 56-inch TRIMASTER SRM-L560 will be available made to order starting November 1st for around $7500 in Japan.
