Samsung has posted a video titled “Something BIG is coming” on YouTube. The video is for the UNPAKCED Samsung mobile event on October 11th in San Diego and Samsung claims “another perfect combination is just around the corner”. It is rumored that Google will be joining Samsung to officially launch next version of Android codenamed Ice Cream Sandwich at this event. Rumors are that Samsung will introduces the next Android flagship device codenamed Nexus Prime, which will be the first device based on Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS. According to GSM Arena, the new handset will have dual-core 1.5GHz Samsung Exynos processor that will also feature dual-core PowerVR SGX543MP2 graphics core, the same graphics core that makes Apple’s A5 processor the best graphics performer in mobile processors. The camera on Nexus Prime will feature a new improved 8-megpaixel sensor that is capable of shooting 1080p HD video at 30fps. The handset will have a monster 2050mAh battery that would last for couple of days with normal use. The best part of the Nexus Prime will be its screen, a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen with 720p resolution (1280 x 720). Also hinting at upcoming Ice Cream Sandwich launch is the live event page Google has posted on official Android Developers YouTube channel. (Update: The page has now been removed with a message – “This live event is no longer available”.) All indications are that we will see the next Google Nexus handset from Samsung at UNPACKED 2011 event on October 11th in San Diego. Check out the Samsung teaser video below.
