Just one day after, Samsung officially announced their 8-megapixel camera phone Pixon, images of the LG KC780, an 8-megpixel slider phone have been leaked online. LG claims that the KC780 is the slimmest 8-megapixel camera phone to date. Not much information is available about the new handset, but it will likely come with quad-band GSM support, limited touchscreen features, 30fps video recording and maybe 3G. We will find out more about the KC780 very soon.
The second phone KP500 is a budget touchscreen phone. Like the Nokia’s upcoming Tube or 5800 touchscreen phone this phone will also focus on mid-segment of cellphone market. It features the same 3-inch LCD touchscreen found on LG’s other phones like Prada and Viewty. The phone will come in multiple color choices like brown, black, silver and gold. The high-end feature on this budget phone will be its 3-megapixel camera and accelerometer that will help manage display orientation. There is no mention of 3G but the phone will have quad-band GSM/EDGE and will support microSD cards for data storage. The KP500 will ship in Europe around October 2008; other areas will receive the phone later this year. No word on price yet.
