DigiTimes is reporting that Pegatron Technology is expected to begin volume production of CDMA version of iPhone 4 in November with total shipments likely to reach 3-4 million units in the first three months and 10 million by mid of 2011. It has been rumored that Apple will use Pegatron as their manufacturing partner for CDMA version of the iPhone, as Foxconn is having a difficult time meeting demand for GSM version of iPhone 4, which has been very successful with record breaking sales. It has been also rumored that Apple will start shipping a CDMA iPhone with Verizon in first quarter of 2011. And by starting production in November, Apple will have enough stock to meet the initial iPhone demand on Verizon.

On the iPad front, Shanzai is reporting that they have heard whispers about 7-inch Apple tablet design being finalized. The website wrote:

Yes there will be a 7” tablet, yes it’s well underway in terms of product development and in fact it’s a finished product. Yes 5 plus different designs have been floating around to help Apple protect itself from people discovering its next product look and feel but... the final design will in fact bear more resemblance to the iPhone 4 styling than the original iPad design.

Our sources say that Apple has been working on smaller tablet design featuring a camera for quite sometime now. Apple could announce the 7-inch iPad as early as October, or wait till holiday season is over and announce it with updated 9.7-inch model in Q1 2011.
