Earlier this month, Apple updated their iPod lineup and introduced the new iPod touch featuring new Retina display, FaceTime video calling, HD video recording, A4 chip, 3-axis gyro, iOS 4.1 and Game Center. Apple brought all the stunning features of iPhone 4 to the iPod touch, except the new case design and 5-megapixel camera with LED flash. The iPod touch is available in 8GB model priced $229, 32GB model priced $299 and 64GB model priced $399.

Reviews of the new iPod touch have been very positive with most reviewers giving it five stars. Some reviewers are calling iPod touch the best media player on the market that is like a mini-computer in your pocket, with HD video recording, stunning display and massive App ecosystem. Joshua Topolsky of Engadget wrote in his review “The new touch isn't magical or revolutionary, or even unfamiliar. What it is, however, is a product without a peer; a media player that does far more than media playing. Besides the smaller screen real estate, the touch might be better compared to a tablet or netbook -- it has many of the same functions (more, in some cases). So you're not just dropping $229 (8GB), $299 (32GB), or $399 (64GB, also, ouch) on a music and video player -- you're buying into a mini-computer, a video camera, and a game system all with a massive ecosystem.”
