O2 today announced that the new Palm Pre would be available in UK on 16 October exclusively on O2 network. UK customers can purchase the new device directly from O2, Carphone Warehouse, Phones4U and O2’s online store. The GSM version of Pre will support quad band GSM/EDGE and Tri band HSDPA. Other specifications will remain same as they are on Sprint version on Palm Pre.

O2 will offer Palm Pre for free with 24-month contract or to customers taking an 18-month contract at £44.05 to £73.41 per month. Palm Pre will cost £96.89 with 18-month contract of £29.36 and £34.26 monthly. All Palm Pre customers will receive unlimited data and unlimited access to 7,500 WiFi hotspots through both The Cloud and now BT Openzone.

Along with the Pre, O2 will also sell Palm Touchstone Charging Dock that allows connectionless charging of Palm Pre for £44.11. You can get more information about Palm Pre launch in UK on O2’s website.
