With almost no concrete information about upcoming iPhone 5, iOS 5 rumors have started taking center stage. BGR posted that they have information from a trusted source about upcoming iOS 5 release schedules, which should help pinpoint a more specific launch time frame for the iPhone 5. Jonathan Geller wrote on BGR:

Starting off, we have been told that even though Apple seeded iTunes 10.5 beta 8 last week, iOS 5 beta 8 won’t be released until this Friday. After beta 8, Apple will introduce a Gold Master build on or around September 23rd as has been rumored. We believe that build is what will be loaded onto the already-assembled iPhone 5 hardware currently waiting for final software in China. Apple will then request that carrier partners give technical acceptance to the Gold Master by October 5th if there are no issues with it.

This news adds more weight to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo report that assemblers are scheduled to receive the golden master iOS 5 build to put on iPhone 5 in the week of September 30th. Most rumors are now pointing that the iOS 5 will be completed by end of this month and based on that information the estimates are iPhone 5 will ship by mid-October. Also France Telecom CEO Stephane Richard said, “If I believe what we heard, the iPhone 5 will be released on October 15.” Again indicating mid-October launch.
