Year Old iPhone 6s Destroys New Galaxy Note 7

iPhone 6s is now almost a year old device with dual core processor and 2GB RAM, whereas the new just released Samsung Galaxy Note 7 features Octa-core processor and 4GB RAM. Based on these on paper specs you would have guessed that the new Note 7 will destroy the iPhone 6s when it comes to speed test comparison. But you will be so wrong.

PhoneBuff, a YouTube channel known for their smartphone speed test videos posted Galaxy Note 7 vs iPhone 6s speed test, and iPhone wins the test by a large margin. In fact, iPhone 6s was so fast that it finished the second lap even before the Note 7 could finish the first lap.

It might look like the iPhone 6s was faster because of lower resolution 750p screen. However, a video posted by PhoneBuff, in which they compared Note 7 running at 720p and 2K resolutions finishing within one second of each other disproves this theory. Loading of apps is more CPU intensive rather than depending on GPU, that powers the screen resolution. It’s here that Apple is well ahead of the lot. Because of this, even one year old iPhone with dual core CPU is leaving every other smartphone on the market in the dust.
