Sony to Ship First 240Hz LCD HDTV on November 10th

Samsung was the first company to talk about 240Hz LCD HDTV, but Sony will be world’s first to actually ship a 240Hz LCD HDTV.  Sony will ship their new W1 series of HDTVs with 240Hz imaging on November 10th in Japan. There will be two models 46-inch KDL-46W1 and 40-inch KDL-40W1, both the HDTVs will have full 1080p support, 3,000:1 contrast ratio, BRAVIA Engine 2 image processing and 24 frames-per-second support. All the usual ports will be there including HDMI, component, audio in/out and USB. The 46-inch TV will be priced Yen 400,000 ($3,700) and the 40-inch TV will be priced Yen 290,000 ($2,650).
