Digg’s founder Kevin Rose had posted a video few days back, providing details about the upcoming iPods. On an episode of ‘This Week in Tech’ that aired on 24th August, he went further and announced that Apple will release the new iPods and iTunes 8 on September 9th.
Kevin also claims to be aware of multiple iTunes 8 features, but provides details about only one feature that will look at users music collection and make recommendations of its own. iTunes already has a similar feature that provides recommendations based on purchase made at iTunes store. To what extend the new recommendation feature will go is unknown.
Kevin also said that he has additional images of the upcoming iPod nano that he sent to TWiT show host Leo Laporte. Though Leo neither confirmed nor denied the legitimacy of the images. With in two weeks we will know whether Kevin is right or wrong about the iTunes and the new iPods.
