Barron’s is reporting “One veteran analyst who has seen first hand a prototype slate-style computer from Apple says that the device could be announced in September for release in November.” The analyst also said that the device has better than average movie experience, when you hold it in your hands.

Barron’s adds that the device is so close to launch that many ODMs (original device makers) making products for Lenovo and other PC makers are all waiting to see what the new device is, and they have held off on competing designs until Apple announces the product.

Increasing number of news websites and analysts are now pointing towards September announcement of the upcoming Apple touchscreen device that will feature a 10-inch screen. Our sources are also saying that Apple has started manufacturing the device and it should come to the market in fourth quarter of this year. It's about time for Apple to jump in the sub-notebook category.
