Past few days have been very hectic when comes to iPhone rumors, leaks have shown everything from iPhone 5 case design to iPhone 5 itself. It all started last week when 9to5mac posted images of silicone case designed for iPhone 5. The case was designed for a thinner device with tapered edges and bigger screen. As soon as these images were leaked many other websites also posted similar iPhone 5 silicone cases in various colors.

Soon after the case design leak, 9to5mac posted photos send to them by a tipster who caught an Apple employee using a new device on camera. Seth Weintraub wrote, “We believe he saw a totally new Apple device, probably a prototype iPhone 5. Our tipster has had an iPhone 3GS and currently has an iPhone 4. He knows his iPhones and iPods and this was like nothing he’s ever seen. He said it would fit perfectly into the case below.”

Carriers around the world have already started adding iPhone 5 to their handset database in preparation for the launch. For example, Korean carrier KT has added 16GB and 32GB iPhone 5 models with codenames AIP5-16 and AIP532 respectively to their system.

All these rumors along with the news that retailers around US have started discounting iPhone 4 to clear out stock, suggests that iPhone 5 launch is imminent. However, John Paczkowski of All Things D says that rumors about iPhone 5 coming soon are wrong. He claims that iPhone 5 won’t be launched in August or September, but in October according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

If you regularly follow WSJ and All Things D they have covered every month since May till October as possible iPhone 5 launch month. Our sources still maintain that iPhone 5 will be launched before Fall starts (this summer) and will ship soon after the launch. Actually, they are very sure that we will see an announcement for the iPhone 5 launch event before August end.
