LG today unveiled the new LCD HDTV 47LG90 that has a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. The features on the 47-inch HDTV are full HD (1080p) resolution, 120Hz TruMotion, 24p Real Cinema, Clear Voice technology and LG SimpLink connectivity. The LCD TV uses local-dimming LED backlit system for superior picture quality, more natural color representation and faster response time. It also has intelligent sensor that automatically optimizes the image quality by adjusting brightness and color according to the surroundings. The ports on the TV include, three HDMI, one USB, composite, and headphone jack. The 47LG90 will ship in September for $3,599. It will compete directly with Samsung’s new 46-inch LN46A950, 9 Series LCD TV that is almost $500 cheaper than LG’s offering.
