Bloomberg is reporting that Verizon will start selling iPhone next year in January. Two people familiar with the plans told Bloomberg “Verizon Wireless, the largest U.S. mobile-phone company, will start selling Apple’s iPhone next year, ending AT&T’s exclusive hold on the smartphone in the US.”

For past one year, rumors about iPhone launch on Verizon have been gaining steam. However, neither Apple nor Verizon have commented on the matter. Many analysts believe that AT&T’s exclusivity is holding back iPhone’s growth in US market and with launch on Verizon Apple could easily double their smartphone market share in US.
