You can get a top-of-the-line 37-inch 1080p HDTV for less than $1,000, so how much would you pay for a display with 4K (2,160p) resolution. Maybe you are thinking four times more say $4,000. If that’s the price tag you came up with then you are wrong. Japanese display maker Eizo Nanao has announced their 36.4-inch 4K display DuraVision FDH3601 that is priced $36,000. Yes, its 36 times more than regular 37-inch display.

So, what do you get for $36,000? The display has 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 700cd/m2 brightness, LED backlit, two DVI-D ports and two DisplayPorts. It features EcoView Sense sensor that turns off the display automatically when not in use. DuraVision FDH3601 will come with two-year warranty and will ship in second half of 2011.
