PC World revealed Alienware M17x gaming laptop today. The new laptop is the first machine that is part of Alienware’s “All Powerful” marketing campaign. The two inch thick laptop comes with 17-inch 1920 x 1200 LCD screen and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M GPU with HybridPower technology. The base model starts at $1,799 with reasonably good gaming configuration. The base model features single 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M graphics card, 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB RAM, 250GB 7200RPM hard drive, DVD burner and 802.11n WiFi.

However, if you truly want the “All Powerful” experience, you can configure your system with dual 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M graphics cards, Intel Core 2 Extreme quad-core processor, 8GB of 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM, 512GB solid state drive and dual layer Blu-ray drive. This configuration would raise the price from $1,799 to about $5,000.

The list of ports on this 11.68 pounds powerhouse include one FireWire, four USB, one eSATA/USB combo, ExpressCard slot, DisplayPort, HDMI, VGA and 8-in-1 media card reader. Alienware should start taking orders for the new M17x early next month.
