Microsoft Unveils Bing Search EngineSubmitted by lalit on May 28, 2009 - 5:27pm.
In an effort to revive its failed Live Search strategy, Microsoft today launched the new Bing search engine. Microsoft says that the new search engine is designed for better user interaction and more organized search results. The Bing search interface is organized around common user tasks like shopping, trip planning, news, images and video search. When a search query is performed the engine automatically suggests navigation and provides the “best match” to highlight what Bing engine thinks is the best answer. Bing provides information the user can directly use in search result rather than requiring an additional click. For example, while shopping for an item it gives user opinions, reviews of product and price comparison in result window itself. The new search engine is available at bing.com. Microsoft is doing a gradual rollout of the search engine and it should be fully available worldwide by June 3, 2009. Ars Technica has posted a very good article highlighting new features of the Bing search engine. The video below shows how Bing works.
