Dell Introduces New Colorful Studio 14z Laptop Line

Dell today launched the colorful Studio 14z laptop lineup aimed at students and on the go consumers. The new laptop comes with FailSafe theft prevention system that can remotely erase selected files or render the stolen laptop unusable until the rightful owner unlocks it. The laptop also features Dell Remote Access4, premium version of which allows people to access content via their home network of personal computing devices including desktops, laptops, ultra-mobile devices, smartphones and web cameras.

The Studio 14z comes with Intel Pentium Dual Core processor in base configuration with option of up to 2.66GHz T9550 Core 2 Duo processor. Other features on the 14z are 14-inch 16:9 LED backlit display, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics, 1.3-megapixel webcam, up to 5GB DDR3 RAM, up to 500GB hard drive, WiFi and DVD burner (optional Blu-ray player).

The laptop measures 13.23” x 9.02” x 0.79”-1.22” and weigh 4.30 pounds. It comes with six-cell battery for up to 4 hours battery life, but you can select 8-cell battery for up to 7 hours battery life. The Studio 14z is available in six colors including Black Chain Link, Midnight Blue, Spring Green, Plum Purple, Ruby Red and Promise Pink for starting price of $649.
