Based on their super reliable sources, iLounge has posted that next gen iPod nano will have wider 1.5:1 aspect ratio screen compared to 1.33:1 aspect ratio screen found on present nano. Apple will decrease the size of the click wheel to add bigger screen, while keeping the overall dimensions same as present gen iPod nano. The most important new feature that Apple will add to nano is a camera behind the click wheel (little unusual, normally it would be behind the screen). The new iPod nano will debut between July and September this year along with the new iPod touch, which will also get a camera.

iLounge further adds that their sources believe Apple will launch three different iPhone models, each with two storage capacities, bringing total six iPhone variants to the market this year. All three iPhone models will have the same size and general design of current models, but with matte plastic back. Apple will differentiate the three models based on their radio antenna rather than physical design. For example, US and Europe will get enhanced 3G iPhone that is capable of 7.2Mbps downloads, while other countries with slower networks will get iPhone capable of 3.6Mbps 3G downloads. The third model will be specifically designed for China, which might explain the reference of “ChinaBrick” in iPhone 3.0 code.

In all likelihood, we will see the next generation iPhone at WWDC in June and come to know what Apple has planned for upcoming iPhone models.
