Apple updated the 13-inch MacBook Pro with new NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics processor, faster Core 2 Duo processors and even longer battery life (10-hours). The 13-inch MacBook Pro is available in two configurations: one with a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM and 250GB hard drive priced at $1,199; and one with a 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM and 320GB hard drive priced at $1,499.

As always with all Apple laptops, reviews have been largely positive for the new 13-inch MacBook Pro. Cisco Cheng of PC Mag wrote in the review “Updated components are all you’ll get with the Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch, but they can be compelling for many. If you bought the MacBook Pro 13-inch last year, it isn’t worth the upgrade. But if you’re new to the MacBook Pro family, this is the ticket to portable computing bliss.”

We also completely agree with the conclusion reached by Macworld’s Jonathan Seff, as it shows the second side of the same coin. He wrote “The changes to the 13-inch lineup are mostly about improved graphics and battery life, and they aren’t all that different from the year before—and it’s somewhat hard to justify the $1499 model based only on its larger hard drive and slightly faster processor, which didn’t translate to much difference in our tests.”

Our suggestion to the readers – buy the lower end 13-inch MacBook Pro ($1,199) don’t even bother looking at the $1,499 model. We have added links to seven best 13-inch MacBook Pro reviews available online:
