For past few days iPhone rumor mill has been in full flow. It all started with report from AppleiPhoneapps.com that said next generation iPhone will ship on 17th July with up to 32GB storage, 3.2-megapixel camera, OLED screen, faster processer, more RAM and compass. John Gruber of Daring Fireball corroborated the rumors and added that with faster CPU and more RAM app launching and web page rendering speed will see significant improvement.

Apple will use ARMv7 Cortex processor in upcoming iPhone was the other rumor that started yesterday. After news of job opening listed by Apple for candidate with knowledge of processor architecture, specifically ARM and its vector unit NEON was revealed. NEON is an extended instruction set that is used in new ARMv7 Cortex processors. Though no information about what processor Apple will use in next gen iPhone is available, but it is highly likely that they will use the Cortex processor as many of the upcoming iPhone competitors will use the same processor.

While all signs are pointing toward next gen iPhone launch very soon, T-Mobile almost confirmed it by adding a placeholder for 32GB iPhone on its website. The placeholder appears in the “Coming Soon” section on T-Mobile Austria’s website and it has a ‘Details’ link, which leads to a blank page. Also, Vodafone Australia has sent out a notice to its retailers announcing 16GB iPhone as an “End of Life” product –meaning it will be cancelled or replaced soon.

The last iPhone related information is more news that rumor, AT&T’s CEO Ralph de la Vega has said that the company is considering cheaper monthly data plans for the iPhone. He said that it would be costly for AT&T to cut the price of its unlimited web surfing plan but cheaper rate plans could be offered with limits on the amount of data that can be transferred per month.

Rumors about next gen iPhone are getting stronger and most of them are pointing in the same direction – faster CPU, more storage and better camera. Our sources are almost certain that the rumors are true and next gen iPhone will have above-mentioned configuration. We will find out more at WWDC in June.
