Sprint today announced pricing and availability for the highly anticipated Palm Pre Phone. The Pre will go on sale from June 6th for $199.99 with two-year contract and $100 mail-in rebate. Palm Pre will be available via Sprint stores, Best Buy, Radio Shack, select Wal-Mart stores and online at

Sprint will offer Pre with Everything Data Plans for consumers or Business Essentials with Messaging and Data Plan for corporate use. The base plan with 450 minutes and unlimited data will be priced $69, which is similar to iPhone base plan from AT&T, but Pre plan will include free unlimited messaging. Two more plans will be offered with Pre – 900 minutes with unlimited data and messaging for $89, and Simply Everything with unlimited data, unlimited talk time and unlimited messaging for $99. Sprint claims that their Simply Everything plans can save up to $1,430 over two years vs. comparable AT&T and Verizon plans for smartphones.

“The argument that you need one phone for work and another phone for play, or that you have to make compromises between business and lifestyle productivity, is over,” said Dan Hesse, president and CEO of Sprint. “With Pre, compromises of the past are history.”

Sprint and Palm are highlighting Palm Synergy, a key feature in Pre that brings together your personal and professional calendar, contacts and e-mail into one centralized view, making transitions between work and personal life smooth and easy to manage.

With Pre, Sprint will also ship the Touchstone Charging Kit for $69.99, which includes the Touchstone charging dock and Touchstone back cover for Pre. You can get more information about Palm Pre on Sprint’s website.
