AT&T and Samsung have launched the new Samsung Jack – the next generation Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone. The sleek phone comes with QWERTY keyboard for easy messaging and e-mailing. The Jack supports Microsoft Direct Push, AT&T Xpress Mail and over-the-air synchronization of contacts, calendars and tasks with Microsoft Exchange Server or Xpress Mail.

“The Samsung Jack will be another hit crossover smartphone in the tradition of the Blackjack and Blackjack II,” said Mike Woodward, vice president, Mobile Phone Portfolio, AT&T Mobility Corporation. “The Blackjack series has been the number one selling franchise in Windows Mobile History.”

Samsung Jack will come with 3.2-megapixel camera, 256MB RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth and A-GPS. The phone will support GPS based applications like AT&T Navigator and AT&T Navigator Global Edition. Other software on the phone will include Internet Explorer, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The Samsung Jack will be available May 19th through AT&T for $99.99 after $100 mail-in rebate with a two-year service agreement.
