AMD today introduced the new ATI Radeon HD 4770 graphics card, made using 40nm manufacturing technology. AMD claims that the new card delivers best in class performance-per-dollar and performance-per-watt. The Radeon HD 4770 uses GDDR5 memory, providing incredibly high data rates for fast game performance. The card also supports ATI CrossFireX technology allowing a second ATI Radeon HD 4770 card to be added for increase in performance. The HD 4770 supports second generation of AMD Unified Video Decoder (UVD 2.0) technology allowing smooth video playback, crisp images and vibrant colors on all HD content including Blu-ray discs. The video output is via twin DVI ports or HDMI port. Almost all the reviewers of the card (like PCPerspective, HotHardware and TechSpot) agree that the HD 4770 offer best in class performance.
