Toshiba Brings Ivy Bridge Processors to Satellite and Qosmio Laptop Lineups

Toshiba today announced updates for gaming laptop lineup Qosmio and consumer laptop lineup Satellite featuring the upcoming Ivy Bridge processors from Intel. Toshiba announced the new lineups, but didn’t provide specific processor model numbers for each laptop, as Intel hasn’t yet officially announced Ivy Bridge processors.

The Qosmio lineup will come in two models X875 and X875 3D, with both featuring Ivy Bridge processors, dedicated 3GB NVIDIA GTX 670M GPU, 17.3-inch screen, up to 2TB storage, four DDR3 1600MHz slots and four USB 3.0 ports. The difference between the two laptops will be that the X875 will have 17.3-inch 1600 x 900 TruBrite display and the X875 3D will have 1080p capable 3D display.

On the consumer side, Satellite L800, Satellite S800 and Satellite P800 will be getting Ivy Bridge treatment. The lower-end L800 series will come in 14-inch, 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch screen sizes with option of HD TruBrite display, Blu-ray drive and HDMI port. The mid level S800 will also offer 14-inch to 17.3-inch screen sizes and come with ATI graphics, up to 1 TB hard drive, optional HD TruBrite display and HDMI port. The high-end consumer P800 series laptops will also offer same screen sizes with HD TruBrite display along with Ivy Bridge processor, NVIDIA 630M GPU option, USB 3.0, Intel Wireless Display, Blu-ray option and SRS Premium Sound. The L800 and S800 will also offer AMD processors.

The new Qosmio laptops will have starting price of $1,299 and will ship Q3. No shipping date on other laptops yet, but the L800 series will start at $449.99, S800 series will start at $699.99 and the P800 series will have $799.99 starting price.
