A Taiwanese newspaper claims that MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air updates will be launched sometime this month. According to MacRumors, Google translation of the Taiwanese post says new models were planned for introduction in March but shortages of Intel’s new chips pushed the launch back to this month. The report also claims all three sizes of MacBooks will offer up to 640GB hard drive or 248GB SSD and 8 hours battery life. The notebooks will be manufactured by Quanta and Hon Hai (Foxconn), and AU Optronics and Innolux will supply LCD screens.

Rumors about MacBook Pro updates have been going around since January. Our sources have also been telling us that Apple is preparing to launch the new notebooks for past three month. However, we haven’t yet seen the new MacBook lineup. Apple’s MacBook Pro lineup is in desperate need of an update, as it is falling behind rest of the industry.
