Jaguar today unveiled the I-PACE, their first all-electric vehicle with 240 mile range. Jaguar has been showing all-electric vehicle I-PACE concept in various motor shows around the world for past two years and has been working on the vehicle development for over five years. The I-PACE has a completely new design from Jaguar featuring shorter front and boot space in both front and back like Tesla cars.

The car has 90 kWh battery that can be charged to 80 percent in just 40 minutes with a 100kW DC fast charger, however it will take 10 hours to charge to 100% on a Level 2 home charger. It has dual motors, one on front axle and one on back axle for four wheel drive. The motors can generate 394 horsepower and a 0 to 60 mph time of 4.5 seconds.

I-PACE uses the same dual screen InControl Touch Pro Duo infotainment system found in Range Rover Velar and also has InControl Remote app like Velar. It will be the first Jaguar to get over-the-air software updates and offer 4G Wi-Fi hotspot.

Looks-wise it is the best looking all-electric SUV on the market. And has much better interior design when compared to Tesla. It will be interesting to see how it performs in real world.

Jaguar I-PACE has started shipping in Europe in limited quantity and will come to US later in summer. No word on US pricing yet.
